Chicken and Egg Pictures gave us a grant for our film about Isle de Jean Charles. We’re psyched! Not only because it’s desperately needed cash but also because it includes mentorship from the Chicken and Egg peeps (no pun intended). Judith Helfand is a master storyteller. If you haven’t seen her films, you really need to. A Healthy Baby Girl was a formative film for me. Wendy Ettinger probably has more energy and enthusiasm than anyone I’ve ever met. And there’s sugar on top! Marc Weiss, creator of POV is also on board to support our film. We’re so excited about this collaboration!
